Homecoming Scotland 2009
This month sees the launch of Homecoming 2009, to mark the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns. It officially opens with a weekend of celebrations planned throughout Scotland on 23-25 January kicking off the 10-month national programme featuring more than 300 events.
And with so much of the action taking place on our doorstep in the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh, innerhaven makes the perfect HQ for your Homecoming plans!
Iconic Burns will be one of the highlights of the Homecoming programme. This outdoor event staged in Alloway on Saturday 24 January will see the village become a focal point for the Burns celebrations. Village locations such as Burns Cottage, The Brig O’ Doon and The Auld Kirk will be brought to life in a one-off extravaganza. Free tickets are available by public ballot. Register by 11 January.
