Annual Events
Innerleithen Music Festival
The Innerleithen Music Festival brings internationally renowned stars of Celtic music to Innerleithen and Walkerburn for a great weekend of concerts and workshops – it’s an ideal opportunity to savour the best of music in the town’s pubs and beer gardens.
St Ronan’s Games
The St Ronans Games were started in 1827 and have been held annually in July ever since. It is Scotland’s oldest organised sports meeting, which originally encompassed two days of competitive sport and evening entertainment, and has now evolved into a week long festival which takes over the town, with highlights including dance, pipe band music, a treasure hunt, fancy dress, culminating in the St Ronan’s Border Games held in Victoria Park.
Pipe Band Championships
Throbbing with the sounds of drum and bagpipes – the annual Innerleithen Pipe Band Championships will be held at the Vale of Leithen Football Park with Pipe Bands and Drum Majors from all over Scotland competing.
Traquair Fair
An unbeatable weekend of family entertainment in the grounds of Scotland’s Oldest Inhabited House, Traquair Fair is a jamboree of theatre; music from all over the world; children’s entertainment and workshops, with dancers and an array of crafts and hospitality.
