On Arrival
Assistance is available whether this means help with your luggage or arranging your shopping to be delivered in time for your arrival. We can also explain in detail the layout of innerhaven to anyone who requires this information.
Aneela is also currently working towards a BSL level 1 qualification which will be completed in spring 2009. This will provide her with some basic language skills to communicate in BSL.
There is space to park a car on the drive in front of the house. If there are more than two cars in the group, there is space to park on the street. The parking facility is only a few metres distance from the front door.
The house
The house is on a ground floor level comprising of an entrance hallway, second hallway, two large bedrooms, bathroom, ensuite bathroom, open plan kitchen/living area, sunroom and garden. If you are interested in the accessibility layout of each room please contact us for more information.
Local facilities and transport
There is a co-operative supermarket in town, approximately 500m from the house.
There is a regular bus service (number 62) to Innerleithen which makes a return journey from Edinburgh to Galashiels. The bus stop is located two blocks away from the house. We can supply you with details if you wish to know times etc.
General information
There is a satellite connection in the house which gives access to subtitles.
There are smoke alarms fitted in the bedrooms, hall and kitchen/ living area.
Assistance and guide dogs are welcome at innerhaven.
Good mobile phone reception at the front of the house.
During the day the rooms are bright with natural light and in the evening it is well lit with the use of spotlights and other types of lighting.
