innerhaven is a beautiful 19th Century riverside conversion overlooking the Leithen Water in Innerleithen, one of Peeblesshire’s most scenic towns. Some of our guests say that it’s historic exterior didn’t quite prepare them for what’s inside - a stunning mixture of old and new that has prompted guest comments from "just right" to "fabulous in every way."

As the name suggests, innerhaven provides a warm, relaxing and particularly practical place to stay in the Tweed Valley area of the Scottish Borders. Whether you want to relax inside with friends or family, or get out and explore, innerhaven’s an ideal alternative to hotel, B&B and bunkhouse accommodation. Just 30 minutes away from Scotland’s capital city, and right next door to the world-famous Glentress and Innerleithen 7Stanes mountainbike centres the ground floor of our characterful old whinstone house has been lovingly refurbished so that our self catering holiday cottage is well equipped for all your needs. It’s perfectly located for outdoors lovers, canoeists and visitors to Southern Scotland - a stone’s throw from the magnificent River Tweed, and just seconds away from some of Scotland’s best mountain biking, fishing, golfing and walking.

Your hosts - Andy and Aneela McKenna - moved to the Scottish Borders to escape city-life, and get a bit closer to their favourite place - the outdoors. Spurred on by 30 minute home makeover shows, in November 2007 we took the plunge and immersed ourselves in renovating a historic 2 bedroom property into ‘innerhaven‘ - great accommodation with a personal touch, representing all the best bits about the favourite places we’ve stayed.
